The No. 1 choice of filmmakers, scientists and researchers

The iconic TRITON 3300/3 is our most popular model line, and the benchmark by which all other professional submersibles are measured.

It is capable of diving to depths of 3,280 ft (1,000 m) while comfortably seating a pilot and two passengers. Its cavernous interior, generous payload and modular expandability have helped cement its position as the favoured submersible of scientists and documentary filmmakers.

Dozens of documentaries, including landmark titles Blue Planet II, David Attenborough’s Great Barrier Reef and BBC’s Galapagos were all filmed using a TRITON 3300/3. Read more about these below.

The latest, MKII model introduces a host of features, improvements and refinements to its venerable predecessor, furthering its position as the de facto choice for professional applications.

KEY BENEFITS

Triton enjoys a long history working alongside professionals of many disciplines. This insight into the day-to-day practicalities of their roles, and the valuable feedback these relationships have afforded us, has helped us to design a submersible platform tailored to their specific needs.

FINE-GRAIN CONTROL

The TRITON 3300/3 MKII introduces a new, ultra-fine control system. Smooth, precise manoeuvring gives pilots the confidence to get closer than ever to static objects, to carefully follow fish and other creatures around a reef, and to execute smooth controlled camera movements. You’ll shoot better footage with a Triton.

PLATFORM FLEXIBILITY

No two roles, and no two projects are ever the same. Our generous payload and expandable electronics modules allows easy fitment of dive-specific equipment rigs. Need to install a high-powered lighting rig? No problem. Pan/tilt laser scaling controlled from inside the sub? Simple.

DEPENDABILITY

Your time is precious. Triton enjoys industry-leading levels of up-time; a key reason for their popularity. We’ve designed the Triton 3300/3 MKII for even higher levels of dependability so you can spend more time underwater, doing what you do best.

ENDURANCE

With 12-hours endurance, the TRITON 3300/3 MKII allows one, or multiple teams working back-to-back, to spend all-day filming, collecting samples, surveying structures and exploring the ocean. Rapid charging means you can get maximum utilization from your days at sea.

NOTABLE ACHIEVEMENTS

We are incredibly proud of our customers and what they achieve with their submersibles.

Owners of TRITON 3300/3 models have chalked up a great number of incredible achievements themselves, some of which have gone on to become world firsts and world records. Notable projects include:

  • Filming Sir David Attenborough’s Great Barrier Reef
  • Filming BBC’s Galapagos
  • Filming BBC & Discovery’s Blue Planet II
  • Exploring Titanic’s sister-ship, Britannic
