Looking for a secure place to store your ammo? Do you want to keep your firearms in a gun safe but want to keep your ammo in a separate locked compartment? The Sports Afield SA5520LZ-AM Tactical Ammo Safe allows you to protect your ammo in a secure space. Three Zero-Sag reinforced adjustable shelves will hold up to 200 pounds of ammo per shelf. This allows for the organization of your ammunition but also allows you to keep it secure. You can also put other items on the shelves.
Even though the Sports Afield SA5520LZ-AM Tactical Ammo Safe is designed to hold ammo, it has many security features that make this more secure than a cabinet. There are three 1" live locking bolts and two 1" deadbolts that help to prevent pry attacks on the door. The door and body are made with 16-gauge steel. Four pre-drilled anchor holes are in the bottom, plus a bolt-down kit to secure to a solid surface. You should bolt your safe down so that someone doesn't take it from your premises to break into it later.
The Sports Afield SA5520LZ-AM Tactical Ammo Safe also has a 40-minute fire rating, tested at outside temperatures up to 1400 degrees Fahrenheit. It also has an electronic lock with features such as a timed lockout mode and optical silent entry mode. There are override keys available so that you can still get in if you forget your combination or something happens to the lock.
